I recently discovered Teachers Pay Teachers, which I'm sure most teachers have been using! Nevertheless, there are some really great free resources. Some, you have to pay for, but I'm loving the free ones right now!
**These are for 3rd Grade, but can be modified**
This would be great to make into a poster for your room. It is hard for some students to keep all of these genres clear in their minds.
There are a handful of these cards. I plan to print out a set or two, paste them on index cards, laminate them and have them in a math center. This is great practice and review!
I've been tweaking my read to self response in our Daily 5 packet. I really like this one!
There are allllll kinds of fun packets and activities for the holidays! Since St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner, I chose this one. It is 18 pages long...but you can pick and choose. I typically hand out the packet in the morning, and as students finish work throughout the day or week early, they can work on this packet! They love it!
Another reading response... During read to self, most of my students enjoy non-fiction texts. But, when it comes time to describe the plot, they have trouble because there really isn't a problem, solution or characters. Here is a great solution!
